Leitrim and Roscommon Schools to close tomorrow due to Storm Eunice

Met Eireann is forecasting 'blizzard-like' conditions, leading to treacherous driving conditions in some areas.

Schools across Roscommon and Leitrim are set to close tomorrow due to concerns over Storm Eunice.

The local schools will close along with those in Cork, Kerry, Donegal, Sligo and Mayo due to Red Wind Warnings or Orange Snow warnings issued for those areas.

Schools in Longford are remaining open at this time.

The National Emergency Co-ordination Group is meeting ahead of the arrival of Storm Eunice tomorrow.

Cork and Kerry have been issued with a status red storm warning, coming into place from 3am to 8am tomorrow morning.
