Roscommon Councillor Laurence Fallon says people in the Lecarrow area are quite happy to have taken part in the first Covid-19 community testing trial.
The Independent Councillor who was one of those involved in helping regulate the attendance of people for testing on the grounds of the local church says people did find it reassuring during the six weeks involved.
A total of 150 people took part in the project and they presented themselves to be tested once a week at the drive-thru facility.
Seven people among the 150 were found to have Covid-19 despite not showing any symptoms, and they were able to take precautions after getting their test results within 15 minutes.
Councillor Fallon says if their pilot helps in fighting against the spread of Covid they will be very satisfied…
