Large crowds gathered at Connolly Barracks this afternoon for the sod turning of the Reimagined THRIVE project. A €7 million development will transform the vacant building into a cultural and community hub.
The county museum will be based there, and there'll be a community café, makerspace, recording studio and creative rooms. Longford-Westmeath TD and Minister for OPW Kevin Boxer Moran, says its a positive day for the area:
