Local Sinn Féin TD Sorca Clarke raised the issue with Junior Minister Alan Dillon this morning.

The lack of neurological services at Mullingar Hospital has been highlighted in the Dáil. Local Sinn Féin TD Sorca Clarke raised the issue with Junior Minister Alan Dillon this morning.

Minister Dillon says patients can currently access specialist neurological services through a referral pathway at the Mater University Hospital in Dublin. However, Deputy Clarke says people in Longford and Westmeath need the service introduced in Mullingar:

Responding on behalf of the Minister for Health, Minister Alan Dillon says the HSE are continuing to monitor demand for services in the Midlands:
