Daniela Rana, a former pupil of Mean Scoil Mhuire in Longford, was honoured at the All-Ireland Scholarships Awards Ceremony at the University of Limerick.

County Boards across Ireland received a donation of €1 million from the Limerick businessman, to be split evenly between GAA, Ladies Football, and Camogie clubs.
