House prices in the Shannonside region continued to rise in 2023, albeit at a slower rate than previous years. The average house in the region was priced at over €195,000. Nationally, prices rose by an average of 3.4%, the smallest increase since 2019, according to the latest Daft.ie House Price Report. In Leitrim, prices in the final three months of 2023 were 10% higher than the year previous with the average price of a home now €191,133.

House prices in Roscommon were 7% higher than a year previously, with the average now €207,000. The figure is 18% below its Celtic Tiger peak. In Longford, prices were 2% higher than 2022 with the average home now €189,000, 25% below its Celtic Tiger peak. Meanwhile, the typical listed price nationwide in the final three months of the year was €320,046, 1.5% lower than in the third quarter and roughly 14% below the Celtic Tiger peak.
