The cost of buying a house has increased across the Shannonside region in the past year according to the Daft.ie end-of year report on activity in the housing sector.
The average cost of a house in leitrim has risen by over 19 percent leaving the average price for a house in the county at 158,000 euros
Roscommon prices increased by 14 percent, leaving the average cost of a home in Roscommon at 171,000 euros.
County Longford has seen an increase of 13 and a half percent with the average cost of a house now costing 168,000 euros there.
The cost of buying a house nationally rose by 7.7% on average during the year.
The average price of a house in Ireland now stands at 291,000 Euro.
Despite ongoing increases, the cost of buying a house is still 21 per cent below those seen at the peak of the Celtic Tiger years.
