House prices continue to increase across the region

The figures contained in the Irish Independent/REA Average House Price Index show the national average price of a three bed semi detached is around €308,000.

The average asking price of a second hand three-bed semi detached house in the Shannonside region has increased in Quarter 1 of 2024. The figures contained in the Irish Independent/REA Average House Price Index show the national average price of a three bed semi detached is around €308,000. Longford has seen the biggest percentage increase in the region with the asking price going up by 4.4%. €181,700 is currently the average asking price for a house in the county.

Meanwhile, Roscommon has an average asking price of €222,500, up 2.3% in the last three months. Finally, the average price of a house in Leitrim is €185,000, which is up 1.4% for the first quarter of 2024. Speaking to the Joe Finnegan show this morning, Joe Brady from REA believes the prices will continue to increase later this year.
