We are due to get anther update on the exit from Covid plan by the government on Friday week

The Taoiseach has said the government hopes to be able to open hotels in June.

Micheál Martin has refused to confirm what level of detail the government will provide on re-opening next week.

It's expected retail, personal services and the full construction sector will be allowed to re-open in May.

Micheál Martin has said he won't get into speculation beyond that. He has also said his target remains to have 4 in 5 people vaccinated by the end of June.

NIAC is meeting tomorrow to consider use of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine after advice from the EMA on the rare risk of blood clotting.
