The option selection process is still ongoing.

It's hoped that an emerging route corridor for the N4 Mullingar-Rooskey road project will be made available before the end of the year.

A public consultation on a number of possible routes concluded at the end of June, over ten years after a preferred route corridor was previously selected.

Westmeath County Council, which is the lead body behind the major upgrade of the national route, has confirmed that the Option Selection Process is currently on going with a view to selecting the Emerging Preferred Route Corridor towards the end of the year.

A further Public Consultation will be held in relation to the Emerging Preferred Route Corridor and it is hoped to finalise the Option Selection Process and publish the Option Selection Report in Quarter 2 of 2022.
