It's hoped visits through the Leitrim befriending service in Leitrim can be restored from next week.

There are over volunteers who have had to suspend their weekly visits to people living alone since the beginning of the pandemic - with a waiting list for others matches to be made.

While Active Age and Feel Good clubs may decide themselves when to open, they are usually off for the summer months, and day care services run by the Leitrim Development Company in Carrigallen, Mohill, Balinaglera and Drumnkeein are unlikely to return until later in the year.
