The charity said that last month 166 adults and 55 children were in temporary accommodation in the midlands.

A homelessness charity has anticipated an increase in homelessness across the Shannonside Northern Sound region due to rent increases. The charity Depaul said that last month 166 adults and 55 children were in temporary accommodation in the midlands.

Speaking to the Joe Finnegan show this morning, Senior services manager with Depaul, Ross O'Connor Kenny said that they are noticing single adults struggling with rent increases. The homelessness figures are 20% up on this time last year according to the charity which Ross said is very concerning:
