Not all incidents that should have been notified to the Chief Inspector had been completed in line with regulation. One such example being the lack of a mandatory notification being submitted in relation to staff member who presented with Covid symptoms while on duty.

Inspectors also noted that not all restrictive practices had been identified, assessed and reported by the provider Rehabcare.

Overall inspectors found the centre well managed and the provider had good oversight of the service.

In a statement to Shannonside Fm, the company said the following:

RehabCare is committed to providing the highest possible standard of care to the people who use our services, and supporting people every day to live independent lives of their choosing. Our teams have worked with our Behavioural Therapist and implemented updated measures in response to any issues raised by the Regulator and work is now underway to further improve the quality of service provision at the centre which as ever prioritises the safety and wellbeing of all residents.
