Hedge-cutting season comes to an end tomorrow

County Council’s across the Shannonside Northern Sound region are reminding all land and property owners that hedge cutting season ends tomorrow the 28^th of February.

Land owners are being reminded of the necessity to maintain hedgerows especially beside public roads for the safety of road users.

There is a legal obligation on landowners to maintain hedgerows & trees that border public roads and footpaths.

Local councils are reminding land owners that tomorrow is the last day that hedge cutting is allowed until the 1^st of September.
