Longford County Council is hosting a waste collection today.
The public is welcome to bring household hazardous waste such as old paint, batteries, obsolete medicines, herbicides and pesticides, waste oil, and old household cleaners.
The waste collection is taking place at the lower car park of Pearse Park Longford from 10am to 12pm.

A fifty cents per kilogramme charge applies and only cash payments will be accepted.
The public is urged not to dispose of garage and commercial hazardous waste at the collection.
