Paula Stokes is an Irish artist based in Seattle.

An installation of 1,845 hand-blown glass potatoes is on display at the National Famine Museum at Strokestown Park, Co. Roscommon.

1845: Memento Mori is a Famine Memorial dedicated to the Irish Potato Famine, made by Seattle based Irish artist Paula Stokes

Paula Stokes began the work 15 years ago as she considered her own emigrant story and that of many Irish and other emigrants to the US who had less fortunate experiences.
