Group of local anglers representing the region at a European level

A group of local anglers are representing the Shannonside region at a European fishing show.

The Lough Ree Angling Hub based in Ballyleague, Lanesborough are flying the flag for Roscommon-Longford in Clermont, France at the Carrefour National trade show.

The show is one of Europe's largest fishing trade show and is expected to attract 25,000 visitors.

Secretary of the Lough Ree angling hub, Phillip Gordon, says they were delighted to be representing the region and the county, and hope to promote Ireland as a fishing destination
