A Leitrim Green Party Member and candidate in the recent local election does not believe Eamon Ryan's departure will affect the party's popularity in the Shannonside region. In the wake of the Green Party Leader's decision to stand down, Leitrim Green Rep Adam Ó Ceallaigh says there is still strong support for the party on the ground.
The 22 year old gained 330 first preference votes in the local elections at the start of the month, the highest of any party member in the region. Speaking to Let's Talk, Adam disagrees with suggestions that Eamon Ryan's popularity level has been having a significant impact on the party:
