Planning permission has been granted for a major expansion at a local dealership.
Michael Moore Car Sales based in Athlone applied to Westmeath County Council for the construction of 4 new buildings on its site.
The buildings include a single and partial two storey motor vehicle service and sales facilities and 2 detached single storey ancilliary buildings.
The two ancillary buildings are set to be used for vehicle valeting and washing.
The application also includes the construction of an access road off the N62, free standing signage and flagpoles, and on-grade parking.
Westmeath county planners gave the go ahead with 14 conditions attached, including a developer fee of just under 89-thousand euro.
