A Roscommon village has received the go ahead to develop a new community park and games area.
The Ballintober Development Association had applied to Roscommon County Council for the works at the Old School House in the Village.
The plans include the demolition of an existing storage shed to the rear of the historic building and the development of a new community park, walkway and seating.

County planners approved the application, which also calls for the construction of a multi use games area, landscaping, play area and perimeter fencing.
The plan was approved by Roscommon planners with 11 conditions attached.
