Granard Garda Superintendent Seamus Boyle is warning people there will be more enforcement of Covid travel restrictions in the area over the coming weeks.
The garda officer was speaking following patrols at a number of scenic areas in the north Longford area last weekend.
He said they had put some information notices on cars found outside the 5km limit at Cairn Hill but warned that people can expect fines if they are found to be breaking the regulations for a second time.

Superintendent Boyle says enforcement of the Covid regulations will be increasing rather than decreasing over the coming weeks.
