Gardai in Leitrim are examining CCTV as part of their investigation into serious vandalism at the Floating Walkway in Drumshanbo.
Several sections of strong marine rope, which form a key part of the amenity at Acres Lake, were cut between Thursday night and Friday morning.
The walkway, which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the south Leitrim area, had to close while repairs took place and alternative measures were installed.
