Gardaí arrest two men after cash and drugs seizures in Westmeath

Two men have been arrested after cash and drugs seizures in Co. Westmeath. A man in his 30's was detained after 62 thousand euro was found when Gardaí stopped and searched a car on the Dublin Road in Mullingar yesterday evening. He's since been charged and appeared before Longford District Court earlier today.

Meanwhile during following up searches at 2 properties in Westmeath, cannabis worth 20 thousand euro was recovered along with quantities of suspected cocaine and magic mushrooms. A man in his 20's was detained and is still being questioned by Gardaí.
