Gardai and RSA issue road safety appeal

Twenty people have died on Irish roads this year.

Gardai will be checking people for drink or drug driving this bank holiday weekend.

They've issued a Road Safety Appeal along with the Road Safety Authority.

156 people were killed on Irish roads in 2022, the largest death toll since 2016.

Assistant Garda Commissioner, Paula Hilman is warning drivers and pedestrians to take precautions.
