The Leas-Ceann Comhairle has written to a Sligo Leitrim TD over what she described as an attack on her integrity during a session of the Dail last week.
Catherine Connolly told the Dáil that she has written to now Independent TD Marc MacSharry following a row last week over speaking time for the Sligo native.
The Galway TD rejected a claim that she was discriminating against him and other speakers and was forced to suspend the house as the Sligo man would not resume his seat
She told TD's today prior to Leaders' Questions that she had written to the TD about the incident last week .
'On that day Deputy MacSharry alleged that I was discriminatory in my treatment , not only of himself but also other members.
I'm particularly conscious that on the day I was elected I declared solemnly that I would be fair and just.'
