The majority of the work will affect the area between Cryan's Hotel and the Carrick Plaza Suites along Local Road L3401-1

The council hopes to widen footpaths, develop more uncontrolled pedestrian crossings as well as enhance public lighting as well as landscaping features and public seating.

Other works will include developing a covered bus shelter along the southern carriageway of the N4 as well as a similar structure in front of the new primary care centre.

Additional public lighting is to be installed at the Costello memorial chapel, St Mary's as well as St George's.

The plans are now available on the Council website, and anyone who wishes to make a submission can do so up until the 15th of September.
