In her evidence, the woman said she was 17yo when became separated from some friends she’d been out with in Tullamore on St Stephen’s Day 2016.

In what she described as a 'stupid, snap decision,' she said she agreed to get into a car driven by one of the accused, Marcos Vinicius De Silva Umbelino, of Riverview, Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath, who was among those convicted of raping her today.

She described being sexually assaulted and raped by a number of men after being driven to a remote location near Kilbeggan and again at a car park in Tullamore.
