The flu will continue to impact people in Shannonside region.
That's despite cases falling locally and latest forecasts indicating that between 800 to 1,100 people are expected to be hospitalised.
While earlier this week, it emerged that flu rates in county Leitrim are higher than the national average.

According to the weekly snapshot, Leitrim had a rate of 85.2 per 100,000 population.
