Feighan pays tribute to outgoing UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer

Pressure on Starmer to quit grew last week when his rival Andy Burnham was re-elected to parliament, a move which cleared the path for him to mount a leadership challenge.

Keir Starmer's announced plans to resign as British Prime Minister. Speaking in Downing Street, he said a contest to replace him as UK Labour leader would be completed by the end of the summer.

Pressure on him to quit grew last week when his rival Andy Burnham was re-elected to parliament, a move which cleared the path for him to mount a leadership challenge. In an emotional address Mr. Starmer said every decision he's taken has been about putting the country he loves, first - and he was applauded and cheered by his team. Junior minister and Sligo-Leitrim TD Frank Feighan is paying tribute to Starmer:
