Events are taking place across the Shannonside region today to mark National Day of Remembrance.
The ceremonies are being organised by local county councils and will recognise the efforts of the public, volunteers and workers throughout the pandemic
It will also remember those who lost their lives from Covid-19.

Ceremonies will be held outside council offices in Longford, Carrick-on-Shannon and Roscommon Town.
The services will include the lighting of candles, music, poetry and reflections.
