Longford County Council has confirmed that a special event to unveil 400 years of records of Longford town tonight has been postponed.
The Pakenham Papers are part of the family archive held at Tullynally Castle in Castlepollard where they now live.
The papers are digitised and as part of an archive project lead by the Longford local authority, an event was due to be held tonight at Longford library to mark their availability to the public.

However the Council has confirmed that due to unforeseen circumstances, the launch of the digitisation has been postponed.
No new date has been announced.
