A €300,000 upgrade of Elphin Community Centre in Co Roscommon will be complete later this month - allowing it to reopen in August.
The facility, who hosts weekly bingo nights and other events, has been closed since March to allow for the refurbishment.
A combination of state and community funding is being spent on making the building more comfortable and energy-efficient.

The centre's treasurer, Valerie Byrne, says the work will be finished shortly.
