C&D foods in Edgeworthstown has confirmed that there are no reports of any Covid cases at its facility. The recent rise in Covid cases in Longford and Offaly has been attributed to a number of factors including social gatherings as well as a lack of social distancing and increased movement.
It has also been suggested that that meat plants and workers moving between different sites in the region may have contributed to the rise in Covid cases. However, in a short statement to Shannonside FM news, a spokesperson for the pet food company confirmed that there are no issues at C&D Foods. Shannonside FM also contacted Kepak, who is yet to respond.
