It is hoped that a major job announcement in East Galway will benefit the Shannonside region.
Up to a thousand new jobs are being created in Athenry.
Dexcom is building its global manufacturing facility, with the high-skilled roles coming on stream over the next 5 years.
It'll provide about 500 construction jobs while it's being built and up to 1,000 high tech graduate and technician positions.
