Funding of €1.4million has been announced today for the Further Education and Training Boards in the Shannonside region.
ETBs in Longford and Westmeath, Galway and Roscommon, as well as Mayo, Leitrim, and Sligo have been allocated the funds.
The capital funding announced will be used for small scale projects, including infrastructure and improvement work, as well as equipment purchases.

This includes upgrades to computer and science labs, replace apprenticeship equipment, repair roofs and improve FET buildings.
