Drumshanbo's been named in the Irish Times Top 20 Best Places to Holiday in Ireland.
The list was published at the weekend with the newspaper saying that they sought to emphasise value for money locations, with a range of eating and accommodation options.
The list is based on reader nominations, and visits by journalists.
A total of 1,200 entries were received for the competition and the top destination will be announced on the August Bank holiday weekend, after a judging process over the coming weeks.
Drumshanbo is described in its citation as being walkable, friendly and well maintained, easy to reach by car, and with good transport links.
It's also described as flying under the tourist radar, and at times feeling a little like stepping back in 1970's Ireland.
