A local soccer team has paid tribute to the teenager who died in a drowning tragedy on Lough Ree at the weekend.
15-year-old Martin Greene, of Brawny Close in Athlone, passed away after getting into difficulty near Glasson.
Emergency services were called to the scene off Carnakilla Point, outside Athlone, shortly after 7.30 on Saturday evening.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
He's been described as a 'much-loved' member of St Francis Football Club in Athlone.
