Events at the festival are to include a Fire and Shadow Procession and bonfire show on Halloween night.

A number of Halloween events and activities are to take place in Longford.

Longford's annual Dead of Night Festival will take over the whole of this Halloween bank holiday weekend. Events at the festival are to include a Fire and Shadow Procession and bonfire show on Halloween night. There will also be a pumpkin patch, haunted house, music entertainment, and a Halloween craft tent. The activities will all be held in Connolly Barracks and will conclude on Tuesday, 31st October. There are road closures in place from Mollaghans Car park, Earl Street, Ballymahon Street, Main Street and Bridge Street. The public are being asked to use alternative routes at the N4 and N5 Longford Town by-passes.

Speaking to Shannonside FM, Janine Bartley from Longford County Council, explained that the Halloween festivities will also be reaching areas outside of Longford town:
