Almost €40,000 worth of illegal drugs and a crossbow have been seized by Longford Gardaí following a series of searches in the town today.
Members of the Garda Divisional Drugs Unit conducted the search's in Longford town over the course of the morning as part of Operation Tara
Members of the armed support unit, Longford Gardaí, local roads policing units and the National Garda Dog Unit executed searches under warrant.

9 properties were searched during the operation with €25,950 worth of suspected cocaine, €10,200 worth of suspected cannabis herb and €3,710 in cash seized, as well as a crossbow.
No arrests have yet been made, but local Gardaí have confirmed investigations are ongoing.
