Some homes have been left without electricity for almost 30 hours.

ESB crews from around the country and the North have been deployed to the Shannonside Northern Sound region to restore power following Storm Barra.

Close to 1,500 people remain without power for a second day.

Leitrim remains the county hit hardest in the region, with 1,212 homes and businesses still without electricity following the two day storm.
