An outbreak of Covid has been declared at St Teresa's ward in Roscommon hospital

The Saolta hospital group says visiting at St Teresa's ward in Roscommon hospital is limited to compassionate grounds only due to an outbreak of Covid.

A statement issued this evening says these visits should be arranged in advance with the nurse in charge.

The Saolta group says access for visitors to St Bridget's Ward and St Coman's ward remains by appointment only, and visits must be arranged by contacting the ward or unit in advance,

Any visitors to the wards will be required to follow public health guidance, including wearing a surgical mask and performing good hand hygiene regularly during their visit,

Anyone planning to visit the hospital is asked to delay their plans if they have any symptoms of Covid or have been in contact with anyone who has Covid.
