Three local areas are being monitored for higher levels of virus transmission.

The Longford, Roscommon and Manorhamilton Local Electoral Areas are today reporting Covid transmission rates above the national average.

Data from the HSE Covid Hub shows each LEA is significantly above the country's 14-day incidence rate of 390 per 100,000 people in the population.

While still above the national average in several areas, figures in general for the region are reducing compared to last week.
