Councillor seeks enhancement works for Ballinamore

A Leitrim councillor has called for streetscape improvement works in Ballinamore.

Speaking at this month's M.D. meeting Cllr. Caillin Ellis asked that an enhancement project be considered for the Leitrim town.

The Fianna Fail Councillor would like to see the area more tourist friendly with extended footpaths, picnic areas and the planting of trees.

While he understands it would be some time before works could occur he asked that the idea of a facelift be kept on the agenda.
