However, in a statement issued to Shannonside FM News, the Department of Integration have confirmed today that no contract has been signed for the use of the building.

The founder of the Edgeworthstown says no group has said the town doesn't have the resources to take in International Protection Applicants. Around 40-50 people attended a protest held outside the Park House Hotel last Saturday.

In January, it was confirmed that the former hotel had been offered to the Department of Integration as potential housing for Ukrainian refugees. However, in a statement issued to Shannonside FM News, the Department of Integration have confirmed today that no contract has been signed for the use of the building.
