Anyone going to a club or late bar from tonight will need to buy a ticket online at least an hour beforehand.

Small town nightclubs and late bars will suffer under newly published covid rules according to local operators.

Customers must also keep one-metre social-distancing in the queue for the bar and not congregate outside of the venue, under threat of heavy fines and possible jail time.

Speaking to the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, Owner of Blazers Nightclub in Longford Town Orla Reynolds says the new restrictions will make life very difficult for smaller operations.

The Hotel and Nightclub owner says even the bigger venues in more urban areas will struggle under the new rules.
