Close to 300 children in the Shannonside Northern Sound region yet to receive place on school transport

Almost three hundred children in the Shannonside Northern Sound region are still to receive a place on school transport due to late payment of fees.

According to the Minister for Education, a total of 1758 children applied late for school transport and have not yet secured a place on a service

One hundred children in Cavan are affected, sixty-six in Monaghan, forty-two in Roscommon, Longford thirty-six and thirty-two in Leitrim.
