Clonbroney/Wolfe Tones landed the 2020 Longford minor championship after a 3-7 to 1-12 victory over Longford Slashers.
Tiernan Hussey converted a penalty for the Sean Connolly’s/Mostrim amalgamation after just three minutes, Slashers getting back on level terms on 22 minutes 1-1 to four points.
It was Slashers who led at half-time six points to 1-2, Bobby Crilly scored Clonbroney/Wolfe Tones second goal four minutes into the second-half.
the edge and they held out to capture the Harte Cup after Cameron Cassidy planted the ball in the back of the net midway through the second half.
Three minutes later Dean Coughlan got Slashers goal as Slashers went onto lead 1-9 to 2-3 after 40 minutes, but Clonbroney/Wolfe Tones stormed back with a third goal and marched onto a 3-7 (16) to 1-12 (15) victory.
