Claims relating to uninsured drivers rise by 13% in Roscommon

They were down by 13 per cent in Longford and dropped by 55 per cent in Leitrim.

The number of claims relating to uninsured drivers grew by 13 per cent in Co Roscommon last year.

They were down by 13 per cent in Longford and dropped by 55 per cent in Leitrim.

The Motor Insurers' Bureau of Ireland's figures show the number of claims from accidents around the country went up by 11 per cent in 2023.

MIBI chief executive, David Fitzgerald says most claims are in cities but other counties saw the biggest rise in claims:
