The plans include the development of close to 200 new lodges, sauna pods and staff welfare facilities along with a new coffee shop and restaurant at the resort in Longford.

Center Parcs are seeking planning permission for a new development in Longford Forest. The holiday resort company have applied for permission to construct six arrival kiosks at their centre near Ballymahon. Center Parcs opened their 233 million euro forest holiday resort in Newcastle Woods in the summer of 2019.

Late last year, permission for a 100 million expansion was upheld following a planning appeal against the granting of their application. The plans include the development of close to 200 new lodges, sauna pods and staff welfare facilities along with a new coffee shop and restaurant at the resort in Longford. The latest plans for the holiday resort will be decided on by Longford planners in May.
