The centre was due to open in the first quarter of the year but delays die to Covid have pushed the date out to next month

Carrick on Shannon's Primary Care Centre is due to officially open early next month.

The multi-million euro facility has been used in the last number of weeks as a Covid vaccination centre and jabs will continue to be delivered as it is one of the nationally identified vaccination sites for the delivery of COVID vaccines in the coming months

The building, which is located in the middle of the town, will house several key health services including Public Health Nursing, adult and child Physiotherapy clinics as well as hosting the NowDoc out of hours clinic and two GP Practices.

The new Centre is over 30,000 sq. feet in total and it is expected to open to the public in early May.
